Three days until graduation. Hurray for me, I guessed. To the people who said high school didn’t matter, you were half-right. High school did determine your place in life. If you did a terrible job, you’d end up working for the people you’d made fun of. It was a great karma cycle. The part I agreed with was the people at school. Who cares, right? An intolerable, piercing white noise woke Elise up from her slumber. Her visions were cloudy, her memories foggy. The one detail that she could identify were gray walls. It appeared to be a compact cube. The first guess would be a cell. If that was correct, then it would explain the chains around her wrist.
